What's the build fee actually pay for?+
Custom design, custom code, your copy laid out, your photos placed, the site deployed to your own domain, SSL set up, Google ready. One flat price covers the whole build — design, development, and launch.
Why so much cheaper than an agency?+
We're two people, we know our stack cold, and we don't have account managers, sales reps, or office rent to cover. The site you'd pay an agency $15k for, we build in two weeks for the price of a nice dinner.
Do I really own everything?+
Yes. Your domain is in your name. The code lives in a repo you own. The hosting bill (if you skip Cover) is in your name. You can fire us tomorrow and your site doesn't blink.
What does Cover Plus actually include?+
Cover Plus is for custom builds with backend features — APIs, databases, integrations. We handle the server side, fix bugs within 24 hours, and give you an hour a month for changes. Most simple sites don't need it. The SaaS-style builds do.
Is there a contract?+
No. Build fees are paid up front (50% to start, 50% on launch). Cover and Cover Plus are month-to-month. Cancel by email.
What if I want to add a blog later?+
Upgrade from Essential to Dynamic any time for the $300 difference. We add the blog section to your existing site. Takes a day or two.
